Desert Sounds A Cappella+ is an award-winning women’s chorus affiliated with Sweet Adelines International. We perform 4-part a cappella music at community events, private parties, and festivals in Kamloops. New singers join as casual members and, when ready, may advance to the performance group for personal and vocal growth. Supported by the music leadership team and fellow singers, members benefit from world-class vocal coaches and arrangers. Desert Sounds offers a welcoming, inclusive environment where music and friendship flourish. Their motto says it all: “I came for the music. I stayed for the friendships and fun!”
Affiliated with Sweet Adelines International we have access to some of the world’s best vocal coaches and music arrangers. We love to put together fun and theatrical performances. Our two level chorus includes both a casual and a performance group so you can learn to sing and find the right place for your skill and comfort level.
Our members are from all walks of life! We are an inclusive and friendly group of ladies! If you are at least 16 yrs old and want to learn to sing, we welcome you to come out and see what we sound like and maybe even give it a try? We think you’ll like it! We sure do!
